About “What is Now”
Revelation Chapters 2 and 3, are a collection of letters of Jesus sent to the seven churches, are explained through “What is now”, which shows the appearances and statuses of the churches in the Revelation times. Now we are going to review “what is Now” which is the current statuses of the 7churshes.
“What is now” is described in Revelation 1:19 as the middle step of the three steps that divide the contents of Revelation after Revelation 1:19.
Revelation 1:19 is very important to understand Revelation more systematically.
Looking at it closely, .
“Write, therefore, 1)what you have seen, 2)what is now and 3)what will take place later.” (Rev 1:19)
The book of Revelation, which is consisted of contents up to and after Revelation 1:19, the introductory portion of the book, is divided into 3 steps. The first step, “what you have seen” covers Revelation 1:20, while “what will take place later” (Rev 4:1) covers from Chapter 4 Verse 1 to Chapter 22, the last chapter. Thus, “what is now”, Chapters 2 and 3 which covers what is between the aforementioned two steps represents the letters of Jesus sent to the seven churches.
Looking at Chapter 1 Verse 20,
“The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.” (Rev 1:20)
Also, looking at Chapter 4 Verse 1,
“After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (Rev 4:1)
Here, it can be known that from Chapter 4 Verse 1 to Chapter 22 records “what will take place later”.
Chapter 1 Verse 19 is crucial in understanding Revelation more systematically.
After Verse 19, the book of Revelation can be divided into 3 parts; “which thou hast seen” is Revelation 1:20, which talks about the mystery of the seven stars and the seven golden candlesticks, “the things which are” represents Revelation Chapters 2 and 3, and “the things which shall be hereafter” (Rev 4:1) Revelation Chapters 4 to 22.
Therefore, the contents of Revelation after 1:19, up to which is the introduction of Revelation, can be largely divided into “which thou hast seen” (Rev 1:20), “the things which are” (Rev Chap. 2-3), and “the things which shall be hereafter” (Rev Chap. 4-22).
1. Chapter 1: the introduction(Rev 1:1-19) as well as “which thous hast seen”, the mystery of the seven stars in the right hand of Jesus, and the seven golden candlesticks (Rev 1:20).
2. Chapters 2-3: “What is now”, the conditions of the church in the Revelation times.
3. Chapters 4-22: “the things which shall be hereafter”, the prophecy of the things that will surely happen,
Revelation 1:20 above, which is the prophesy of the mystery shown to Apostle John, explains that “seven” and “stars” symbolize seven spirits and crowns of 12 stars
(Rev 12:1), respectively.
It reveals to us about the “mystery of 7 stars”, the first mystery of Revelation, using the number 7 and 12 hidden in the meaning of stars. The essence of it is the appearance of “the crowns of 12 stars worked by 7 spirits, who represent the network of 12 partnering disciples”
These 7 spirits, which is the nickname of the Holy Spirit in the times of Revelation, symbolize the combined 7 kinds of activities of Holy Spirit, represented by 1)the Spirit of the Lord, 2)the Spirit of wisdom and 3)of understanding, 4)the Spirit of counsel and 5)of might, 6)the Spirit of the knowledge and 7)the fear of the Lord.
1. And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2. And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Here, the key to unlock “the mystery of 7 stars” lies in separating and understanding the meanings of the number 7 and stars in “7 stars”.
Review the reference of the Bible verse.<Zec 4:10>
<Zec 4:10> 10. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
8. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, throu, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9. For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Looking at “seven” and “stars” separately, “seven” represents God’s seven spirits that act as seven eyes of Jesus (Zec 4:10/Rev 5:6/Rev 4:5), and “stars” symbolizes people who lead many to righteousness as prophesied in Daniel and 12 offspring of Jacob, which refers to 12 branches (Dan 12:1-3/Gen 37:9-10). Thus, “the mystery of 7 stars” predicts the start of the open revelation as well as the appearance of the numbered new humankind symbolized by the crown of 12 stars, which refers to the network of Jesus’ 12 disciples. (Psa 147:2-4/Rev 21:16-17).

Jesus informs us about the creation of his true disciple network, formed by the crown of 12, 144 or more stars, which represent the partnering disciples recorded in the book of life (Rev 12:1/Php 4:1-7). He also lets us know that many people will come back to the right path (Isa 30:20-22) by providing light of Jesus’ revealing word to the world churches darkened by invasion of Satan (Rev 4:5), and that the disciples light up the seven lampstands with the same olive oil representing Jesus’ revealing word as messengers of Jesus with guardian angels
(2Co 8:23/Mt 18:10/Rev 22:16)..
That is, by seeking a spiritual life of interacting with the Holy Spirit, we become people who follow what Jesus does as the brides of Jesus, raising 12 partnering disciples (Php 4:1-7), sharing burdens of one another (Gal 6:2), building a wall of the Holy City consisted of 144 partnering disciples altogether,(Rev 21:16-17) and uniting our spiritual children, all part of God’s network, in love. As this takes place, we finally enter the gates of the noble one into the righteous kingdom of our Lord and Christ, participating in the divine nature of God as new mankind.
“And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”<Rev 19:9>
<Rev 21:9-10> 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
<Rev 21:17> 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
<Rev 21:14> 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Now, the times of revelation, which is the turning point of the history of the new mankind when all mysteries of the Bible are revealed, is both the end times when all covenants of the Bible are completed and the new beginning.
This is the achieving of the hope of the eternal life, which has been promised by the genuine God since the beginning of the world. Depending on different times, He presented these words with evangelism, which is the process of building the walls of the Holy City in the end times and also the extremely important calling in which, as the kingdom and the priests of God, the journey of salvation is fulfilled with the partnering disciples.
<Tit1:1-3> 1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; 3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
<1Co 1:21> 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
The fundamental principle of God’s network of the new mankind formed by 12 and its multiples constituting the kingdom and the priests of God in the Revelation times is based on the idea that the 12 partnering disciples written in the book of life (1 Th 2:19-20/Php 4:1-4), which is symbolized by the crowns of the twelve stars in Revelation 12:1, become the stars numbered and called by God by their names (Ps 147:2-4), teach the words of the open revelation to those to be evangelized, maintain loving relationships and constitute 12 partnering disciples each to form one large spiritual family.
As groups of 12 and more than 144 (12X12) unite in love and come together to form God’s human network constituted by multiples of 12 brides of Jesus, we build a wall, which becomes a basic unit of the Holy city as follows.
Also, you don’t need to make all of the 144 people by yourself. You just need to make the foundations of the wall-the 12 partnering disciples like Jesus within 3 years. From now on, you can start your 3 years public life with Jesus’ grace.
-Each of the twelve gathers twelve partnering disciples devoted to God to build 144 people, which forms a basic unit of the Holy city like above diagram.
The three generations are best understood if one thinks of a tree, the first Generation is the core branch (root).
The second generation is called the ‘Crown Branch’ where the first generation has gathered and created its disciples. If the second generation consists of 12 disciples and each of the disciples gathers 12 more disciples that creates a third generation, the ‘Grand-Crown’ with a total of 144.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation are spiritually one family. The members of family can communicate both online and offline.
Here, the numbers for the 2nd generation (12) and for the 3rdgeneration (144) are only standard figures, and they may be smaller or greater.
-At the first time, each of the 7 can gather 7 partnering disciples to build 49 people quickly with your family, relatives, neighbors, and friends etc. which forms like below diagram.
<Ac 16:31> 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
<Col 2:16-17> 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
<Mk 4:26-29> 26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
<1 Sa 2:5> 5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
Now, it’s time that the same process of raising 12 disciples must be begun for all who live on this earth through God’s network of Jesus’ brides which produces 12 partnering disciples each from the 12 disciples (Lk 21:35/Jn 16:21-22/Jer 30:6-10).
Therefore, it is time for us to independently and actively participate in the ultimate plan of God to renew all things rather than being mere bystanders (Rev 21:5) as we spread the lively oracles of Christ to all peoples living on this earth and bear fruits of the kingdom of our Lord and Christ.
“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”<Mt 11:27-28>
Now, it is also a crucial time for all people to become the brides of Jesus and realize all covenants of the Bible, based on the new order (Hos 4:6-10/Isa 24:1-2), procedure and glory of the faith prophesied to be equipped with the mindset of the prophesy, which lets us know about God(Mt 11:27/Eph 1:17), and to become the sons of God. (Gal 3:23-29/Rev 21:7-8)
