|The beginning of the letter sent to the Church in Smyrna starts with, “saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive”, which emphasizes that all of the prophecies are the words of the resurrected Jesus given to the messenger sent to the Church in Smyrna are the beginning and the end.However, it endures even amidst the current ordeals and the destitution of the words of life, the spiritual food.The Church in Smyrna is a church that has been put to the trial by the interference of the synagogue of Satan, a group of those who call themselves Jews who look like chosen people but are not truly chosen people.
However, it endures even amidst the current ordeals and the destitution of the words of life, the spiritual food.
Also, because its members only repeat the early stage of religion, they may seem impoverished of the word on the outside (Am 8:11-13). However, they strongly yearn for satisfaction of their spiritual thirst, desiring the words of life, so they actually are being praised as wealthy people.
Here, an ordeal is a situation in which one is put in a place that lacks the spiritual food of the living water and thus cannot be assured of the eternal life and salvation.
|2:10||“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:” Here, the prison is a place in which the spiritual food of life has been depleted so the amount of growth needed to become the priest of God does not reach a sufficient level. It also represents a place of spiritual ordeal where the early stage of religion continues to be repeated and the gates to the heaven are closed (Eph 4:13/1 Co 13:11/Heb 5:14/Jn 15:16).These prisoners do not know that the path of life leading to the resurrected eternal life is just like an airplane, which cannot fly but only moves back and forth on the runway due to the absence of a pilot, or just like a rescue ship, which does not serve its role of rescuing people but wastes time at a port with its S.O.S reception device turned off. They are in a state at which they are far away from the essence of faith with the gates to heaven closed with no spiritual exit.In other words, they are experiencing an ordeal of emptiness, wasting the end times without bearing any fruit, in a situation in which the spirituality and the knowledge of God and Jesus cannot grow (Jer 30:7).
“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” <Mt 11:27-28>
The believers of the Church in Smyrna are, though still in trial, are, in reality, the wealthy ones who realize that they must be ready to basically crave for the spiritual words of life.
Even in a spiritual thirst, they have been trying to march towards the truth, anticipating the first rain and the latter rain fallen in due season (Dt 11:14/Jer 5:24-25/Jas 5:7-9), and waiting for the days of grace to help them in due season.
Also, the meaning of the 10-day tribulation (Jer 42:2-7) here is that a few believers realize how they have lacked the words of the water of life, which bears fruit, and fallen into a spiritual tribulation in which they merely repeat the basics of religion. Also, it represents a short period of tribulation in which the prepared believers, through earnest prayers for spiritual growth, find the symbiotic community of the victorious people whose gates of heaven are open, and wait for the prayer response regarding their decision at the moment when they choose to participate. (Mt 24:21-22/Ps 130:5/1 Pe 1:6)
Therefore, those who obey Jesus until death must not fear the trials and tribulations but, through this process, rather realize that they have lacked the spiritual food of life, and subsequently are led to the right path to Mount Zion where Jesus placed his name (Isa 18:7), becoming the truly wealthy ones by participating in the symbiotic community of the victorious ones in the Revelation times.
As follows, it predicts that, because of faith in the end times, they will receive the crowns of life that have been prepared by God’s grace and power and that reach salvation. (1Th 2:19/Jas 1:2-12/Pr 16:3/Ps 76:1-2)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
|2:11||Also, the part in Verse 11 that says, “He that hath and ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”, is repeated 7 times throughout Revelation Chapters 2-3, and is the earnest plea of the Holy Spirit as well as emphasizes the importance of listening.
All of these are the words of the identical Holy Spirit that teaches the prophecies of Jesus regarding all churches. It repeatedly tells us that it is the law and the order of the Holy Spirit that must not be interfered with (Mt 12:31-32).
Also, “the second death” in Verse 11 means the casting into the eternal lake of fire upon judgment (Rev 19:20/Rev 20:14-15), which is from Revelation 20:15, so not being hurt of the second death (Rev 21:8) means that those who die in the Lord after obeying him until death, overcoming trials and fulfilling the words of his prophecies (Rev 14:13) directly go to the third heaven, which is the paradise, to receive the blessings of resurrection and eternal life.
Therefore, the Holy people of the “First Heaven” who are saved and die in the Lord transcend death and reach God’s paradise, “the Third Heaven”.
Here, the Holy people of the “First Heaven” are spiritually alive-symbolize those who are recorded in the book of life, wash their robes and go towards the tree of life.
They experience an instantaneous transference of dimensions through which the tabernacle of body, which is a protective shield in this life, is stripped away and instead takes on the Holy body, symbolizing an eternal dwelling place, from the Third Heaven and proceeds to the step of the everlasting life. He or she will never see death and taste death. (Jn 8:51-52/Jn11:25-26)
This is the special blessing for the brides of Jesus in the end times.
Thus, the Holy Spirit has been given as an assurance in order for us to achieve this Holy body of eternal life (2 Co 5:5).
<2 Co 5:1-5>
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself
<1 Co 15:16-20>
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
Here, the way not to be hurt of the second death is through the testimony of salvation in which, without going to Hades and being thrown into the lake of fire, we become the brides of Jesus and participate in the resurrection of the holy body (Lk 10:19-20).
However, the Bible expresses the appearances as follows of those who face the second death, who cannot go into the Holy City and are thrown into the lake of fire burning with fire and brimstone.
These people, even though they have been asked, were not chosen and realize that they have done unlawful deeds while shedding tears and gnashing their teeth. Thus, we all must choose and concentrate on the right path in order to fulfill the law of Christ (Gal 6:2/Mt 13:47-51/Mt 25:30).
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
① The fearful are those who fear the prophecies of Jesus
② The unbelieving are those who do not believe the prophecies of Jesus
③ The abominable are those who do not care for the sheep and speak deviously to make the sheep their followers (Ac 20:29-31)
④ The murderers are those who loathe and offend brothers and who force people to leave the truth and spiritually kill them with false witnesse
(1 Jn 3:10-19/Jn 8:44)
⑤ The whoremongers are those who befriend Satan, the wordly god, and the world, and who themselves have made God their enemy
(Jas 4:4/1 Co 4:4/Ro 8:7)
⑥ The sorcerers are those who falsely predict with fortunetelling and fulfilling the desire of those who want to destory peope by making them leave God(Dt 18:10-14/Lev 19:31)
⑦ The idolaters are those who worship mammonism and are filled with covetousness (Col 3:5-6/Hos 8:2-4)
⑧ The liars are the hypocrites who follow after the teachings of the synagogue of Satan with the ghosts and spirits that tempt and confuse (Rev 3:9/1 Ti 4:1-5)
