2. To the Church in Smyrna

7stars-s copy      To the Church in Smyrna  <Rev 2:8-11>

8. And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write;                                                                These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

9. I know thy works, and tribulation, (Heb 6:1-3/Mt 24:21-22) and poverty,
(Am 8:11-13/Jer 2:13) (but thou art rich) (Zec 9:11-12) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, (Tit 1:14) and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. (Rev 3:9)

10. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: (1Pe 5:10) behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, (Ps 142:7) that ye may be tried; (1Pe 1:5-9) and ye shall have tribulation ten days: (Jer 42:2-7) be thou faithful unto death, (1Co 4:1-2) and I will give thee a crown of life. (Php 4:1-7)

11. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; (Ro 10:13-17) He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. (Rev 20:11-15/Rev 21:8/Rev 6:6)

 The Church in Smyrna is a church that has been put to the trial by Satan by the interference of the Jews, the synagogue of Satan, who called themselves the chosen ones. The believers, however, showed a strong desire about the word of eternal life even during the times of poverty and depletion of the spiritual word.

Also, it foretells that when some of those who merely repeat the elementary teachings of God and fail to reach the whole measure and fullness of Christ, recognize the afflictions of the reality of the spiritual prison, they can join in the symbiotic community of those who overcome. And they will become rich with truth and receive the crown of life.

 Current Status: They have fallen into trial by Satan but have spiritual thirst.
